Abstract

|
A radiolgic examination of small intestine in 15 patients of typhoid fever admitted to Kyungpook
-National University Hospital was carried out during the period from Apr. 1969 to Sep. 1969.
The result could be devided in two mainf findings, the first that may represent inflammatory changes
.and the second that is compatible with toxic ileus.
1. The former findings in detail were; filling defects in barium column 47%, ulceration 47%, edematous folds 20%, and extrinsic indentation 67%.
2. The latter in detail were; dilatation of loops 10061, delayed passing time 40%, gas distension , 40%, segmentation & scattering 27%, and double contrast shadow 33%.
